In recent years, the Western world has experienced the so often invoked social polarization, a significant part of which is the clash between conservatism and progressivism. Of course, this is also manifested in the field of law. The section welcomes contributions devoted to human rights moments of this clash, tensions between the idea of liberal democracy and civic republicanism, questions of the place of religion in public life, natural-law or other philosophical arguments that are at play in this clash or perhaps the historical aspects of the issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
